Using the Alberta curriculum as our guide, our educators have designed a variety of new and exciting programming to accomoany the Angry Birds Universe exhibition. Students will explore key science concepts behind this worldwide phenomenon by devling into areas of physics, aerodynamics, bird adaptations and biodiversity. Programs have been created with all grade levels in mind.
Through experiments, demonstrations and hands-on activities we make science fun, dynamic and easy to understand. Delivered by experienced and passionate teachers, our programs meet Alberta Science Curriculum learner objectives, making them a valuable resource for your school. Our classrooms, labs, galleries, theatres and demonstration stage provide lasting memories and engage your students.
We've revamped our science demonstrations to showcase the most exciting, thrilling and sometimes dangerous experiements possible. And even better -- all demonstrations are now included in your building admission price! Watch one demo, or all five, the choice is yours. Each new demo ties directly to multiple curriculum connections in the Alberta Science Curriculum. Science demonstrations take place daily on the Science Stage, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive to your desired showtime early.
This program provides an opportunity to partner our current offerings with a "real" experience. Real experiences range from scientists sharing their work to festivals, industry displays, special events and more!
These interactive and hands-on exhibits are the backbone of your science centre visit, allow your students to discover the building blocks of science through self-guided exploration.
Give your students an immersive experience in our IMAX Theatre. Select from our extensive library, use the film's educational guides from our website to build your lesson plan, and take your students to some of the most exciting places on Earth -- or beyond! Films are scheduled for teachers on a first-come, first-served basis.
Immerse your students in a 360 degree viewing experience in our planetarium - the Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre. Travel to the stars, to galaxies and places unseen. Sit back and experience one of our many shows, taking you on a journey through the galaxy, the human body, or the molecular level of the Universe. Planetarium shows are scheduled for teachers on a first-come, first-served basis.
